about

Pixels & Print is a Design Workshop, focusing on designing for good, for the students in the Graphic Design program at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. It is a fully intensive workshop for the students who will work with Industry Professionals and provide a design makeover to a deserving organization during a 48-hour design sprint. Each year the event gets a different design, as you can see through the work below from years 2016–2022.

Over the course of the 48-hour workshop, approximately 40 students will design a logo and brand system, a very mobile-friendly website, promotional and social motion graphics, an augmented-reality app looking to overcome language barriers, as well as a poster campaign. To do this, we divide students into teams, each with different design tasks to work on, and we pair a design coach to help art direct and guide the team to complete its job. #Pixels&Print2018 #DesignforGood
